Belmaduthy Chambered Cairn

According to the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland this is a "robbed" Orkney/Cromarty type of Chambered Cairn. Behind the structure is the radio transmitting mast that is visible from miles away.

I am sure the historical significance of this site is enormous. A little Scottish Stonehenge.

Looks really like a smaller version of Stonehenge. Great shot. But the transmitting mast disrupts the grandness of this monument a little bit.

Robbed? So the bodies originally buried there are gone?

It's a good thing these cairns were marked by stones. I'd hate to be walking over anyone's grave accidentally.

It is terrible that there are people who rob bodies! I mean, what are you going to do with a dead body? Gives me the creeps! In the meantime I love ghost stories, are there any ghosts around here?

That's trully very tall! As if piercing into the clouds.
